It's almost March and, boy, I am ready for sunshine and warm weather. I bet those of you who know me never thought you would hear me say those words. While winter is my favorite season of the year for a multitude of reasons, I cannot wait to wear pretty sundresses, bright colors, sandals, and to sit outside on the grass sipping iced coffee/tea and reading a book for PLEASURE.
I just got back from a long weekend at Kevin's. When I got back to my apartment I was still super tired. Ergo, I decided to return to Old Faithful. That is, to throwing on a bohemian flow-y dress, tights, and boots when I don't feel like taking a long time to put an outfit together. I forwent big earrings in favor of the blue wood bracelets and the turquoise necklace given to me by Kevin's parents for Christmas.
Although this Midwest winter has been curiously mild, spring is inching closer and closer. It's 48 degrees here today. With that in mind, I decided to wear an outfit in the spirit of one of my favorite spring/summer styles: safari. Safari is all about tribal prints, olive greens, browns, rust oranges, beiges, and other earth tones.
So I might have broken the cardinal rule of fashion by wearing the same outfit twice. Not just twice ever, but twice in less than a week's time. *Gasp* I wore this outfit on Saturday evening to see Kevin perform in his theater company's production of Casablanca. It's just such a fun outfit and I got oodles of compliments (okay maybe just two or three) on it.
